Roman Wilson Is Down, and Rodgers Is Running Out of Targets

Roman Wilson is out of the receiver rotation, which means Pittsburgh's passing game is now leaning almost entirely on DK Metcalf and Calvin Austin III. Metcalf has been the anchor all season — 892 yards and six touchdowns in 16 games — and Austin has been a reliable third option. But the room behind them is thin in a way that wasn't true two weeks ago.

I noted after Pittman went down that the group had lost its third option. Wilson's absence removes what depth remained. Brandon Johnson is next on the depth chart. Ben Skowronek is listed questionable. This is not a receiver corps built to absorb two losses at once.

Rodgers finished his regular season with 3,468 yards and 24 touchdowns. The production was there. The question heading into the playoffs is whether the targets can hold up around Metcalf — and right now, the answer is getting harder to like.
