Reed is questionable, Bako-Bewele's situation is murky, and Green Bay's offense is thinner than it looks on paper
Jayden Reed is listed as questionable heading into Week 2 with a neck injury, which puts one of the more productive slot options from last season in uncertain territory. In six games last year, Reed was efficient when healthy — the problem has always been staying on the field. A neck injury in the second week of the season is the kind of thing that can linger, and Green Bay doesn't have a lot of margin at receiver if it does.
The offensive line situation with Zach Bako-Bewele is a quieter concern but worth noting. He's the second option on the interior depth chart behind Aaron Banks, and if he's unavailable for any stretch, Sean Rhyan is next in line — a player with no recorded production this season. That's a thin cushion for a line protecting Jordan Love.
Two positions, two depth questions, same week. The Packers spent the offseason patching holes across the roster, but the injury report has a way of finding the gaps that weren't fully addressed. My read is that the Reed situation is the more pressing one in the short term — if he misses time, the receiving corps leans harder on Romeo Doubs, Dontayvion Wicks, and Matthew Golden, which is workable but not comfortable. The Bako-Bewele piece is one to watch over the next few weeks rather than a crisis today.
