Lamm Retires; Baltimore's Offensive Line Plan Takes Another Hit
Kendall Lamm retired Thursday, the second offensive tackle Baltimore has lost to retirement in less than two weeks. Hakeem Adeniji went first, on August 4. The Ravens signed Lamm specifically to fill that vacancy. Now that spot is open again.
The timing is lousy. This offseason was supposed to be about shoring up the line in front of Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry — the No. 14 overall pick on guard Vega Ioane, the Ethan Pocic signing at center, a deliberate effort to fix what broke in 2025. The Adeniji-Lamm sequence has punched two holes in that plan before a regular-season snap has been taken. What's left at tackle is Alejandro Villanueva at the top and Gerad Lichtenhan as the depth option behind him, with the Lamm vacancy now sitting at the two-spot.
The one piece of good news Thursday: linebacker Teddye Buchanan came off the PUP list, eight months removed from a torn ACL. Roster accounting giveth and taketh away. Baltimore still needs a body at tackle, and the options at this point in camp are limited to whoever is available on the street.
