Kamara Reworks Deal to Stay in New Orleans for 10th Season

Alvin Kamara is returning to the Saints. The five-time Pro Bowl running back, who had been the subject of trade speculation throughout the offseason, agreed to a reworked contract to remain in New Orleans, sources confirmed to ESPN and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. It will be his 10th NFL season, all with the team that drafted him.

Kamara has been a cornerstone of the Saints' offense since arriving in 2017, establishing himself as one of the more versatile backs of his era. The trade rumors that circulated this offseason made the resolution notable — New Orleans chose to keep him rather than move on, restructuring the deal to make it work for both sides.

He appeared in 11 games last season, rushing for 471 yards and a touchdown while adding 33 receptions out of the backfield. With the Saints coming off a 6-11 campaign, continuity at a key offensive position at least removes one question heading into training camp.
