Jaguars Trade for Quinn Ewers to Deepen Quarterback Room Behind Lawrence

Jacksonville acquired quarterback Quinn Ewers from the Miami Dolphins on Saturday, adding a 23-year-old backup behind Trevor Lawrence as the Jaguars prepare for the 2026 season. Ewers appeared in four games last season and completed 66.3% of his passes with Miami.

Lawrence played all 18 games in 2025, throwing for 4,214 yards and 32 touchdowns, and the Jaguars' offense is built around his availability. The Ewers addition gives Jacksonville a more established option behind Lawrence than what the depth chart previously showed, with Carter Bradley and Joey Aguilar listed as the prior backups.
