Hawks Rookie Flemings to Sit Monday After NBA Suspension

The NBA suspended Atlanta guard Kingston Flemings one game on Sunday for intentionally elbowing New Orleans Pelicans guard Bryce McGowens in the head. Flemings had already been ejected from Atlanta's loss to the Pelicans when the incident occurred, and the league followed with the additional punishment. He will miss Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers without pay.

The elbow was described as blatant, though cameras largely missed it in real time. As a rookie, Flemings picks up the suspension early in what is still the opening stretch of his NBA career.
