Flagg Clears Shootaround, Probably Plays Tonight in Miami

Cooper Flagg went through the Mavericks' shootaround Monday morning and was upgraded to probable for the game in Miami. He'd sat out Saturday after spraining his left shoulder on October 23rd — a flagrant foul on a breakaway that sent him to the floor — so getting through a shootaround without incident is good news for a team that has had very little of it this week.

Dallas dropped its opener in Houston 128-110, then lost at home to San Antonio 122-106 while Flagg watched from the sideline. That's the week. Getting the Rookie of the Year back, even at probable rather than full-go, changes the picture for Monday.

Probable isn't certain. He was questionable until the shootaround, which means the shoulder is still something to watch. But for now, Dallas gets its most important player back on the floor, and that's the only update worth noting today.
