Dybantsa Finally Gets His Night in Cleveland
Four games into the season, Washington's No. 1 overall pick is finally cleared to play. AJ Dybantsa has been upgraded to available for Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers, ending a wait that started before the season even began — he sprained his left ankle in the preseason finale against New Orleans and never made it to opening night.
The debut comes with some added noise around the roster. Justin Champagnie underwent surgery Wednesday for a right foot fracture, so Washington is absorbing another injury at the wing position on the same day it gets its most anticipated player back. Those things tend to happen in early November.
The Cavaliers are a tough draw for a first NBA game, but that's what the schedule handed him. Washington will take it.
