Charbonnet Back on the Field, Price Still Waiting
Zach Charbonnet returned to practice, which is the straightforward good news for a backfield that has been shuffling pieces for weeks. He remains listed as out in the injury report, so there's no guarantee he's available this week, but getting him back on the field at all is a step the team needed.
The complication is that Jadarian Price is still out. The rookie was expected to provide some depth cushion as camp settled, and that cushion hasn't materialized yet. For now, Emanuel Wilson and George Holani are the names behind Kenneth Walker III in the active rotation — workable, but thin if Charbonnet isn't cleared in time.
Worth remembering: Charbonnet was a genuine contributor last season, scoring 12 touchdowns in 17 games. Getting him functional matters beyond just depth — he's a real piece of this offense when healthy. The next few days of practice reports will tell us more about his actual availability.
