Bell Is Off the NFI List and Into Practice
The Dolphins activated rookie wide receiver Chris Bell from the active/non-football injury list Monday, clearing him to practice for the first time. It is a small procedural step, but given how this offseason has gone for Miami's receiver room, it counts.
The context matters. Tyreek Hill played four games last season, and the questions about his left leg haven't gone away heading into 2026. The depth behind him has been thin enough that Bell's presence — even as a rookie who hasn't taken a preseason snap yet — adds something real to the conversation. He still has to earn a role. But he can now actually do that.
The broader picture is cautiously better than it was a few weeks ago. Achane is active, the offensive line has been reinforced, and now Bell is available to practice. The Ewers injury on Thursday is a reminder that nothing stays clean for long around here, but on the offensive skill side specifically, the roster is in a more functional place than it was heading into camp. Bell's activation is one more piece of that.
