Allgeier Runs Wild, Arizona Stuns Dallas 33-30
Tyler Allgeier turned 11 carries into 147 yards and two touchdowns, and Arizona walked out of Dallas with a 33-30 win on November 1st. Gardner Minshew II was clean, efficient, and lethal — 17-of-23 for 188 yards and three touchdown passes.
The story of this game was Arizona's ground-and-air combination overwhelming a Dallas defense that simply had no answer for Allgeier. He didn't just run — he caught the ball too, adding 44 yards and another score on five receptions. That's 191 yards from scrimmage and two touchdowns from a running back who looks like the engine of this Arizona offense right now. When a single player does that kind of damage on both sides of the ball, you win football games, and Arizona did exactly that.
Minshew's efficiency was the other half of the equation. Three touchdown passes on 17-of-23 throwing is a near-perfect performance by any measure. Michael Wilson hauled in eight catches for 111 yards and a score, giving Minshew a genuine outside threat, while Trey McBride added seven receptions for 72 yards and a touchdown underneath. Arizona spread the ball, attacked every level of the Dallas defense, and made it look methodical. That's not luck — that appears to be a well-schemed offense operating at a high level.
Dak Prescott did what he could. He went 19-of-29 for 195 yards and a touchdown, and added a rushing score on seven carries. Ryan Flournoy contributed three catches for 38 yards and a score as a receiving option. But 30 points should win most NFL games, and the fact that it wasn't enough here says everything about how sharp Arizona was. Dallas couldn't generate the stops it needed when the game was on the line, and Prescott — despite a solid individual performance — was left without enough support to pull it out. Arizona improves to a 33-30 road win, and this one looks like a statement.
